As an appendage to the hotel leadership team, this position is tied to overall organizational deve! lopment and HR functional process improvment. Assisting in the development and execution of hotel policies, procedures, and standards; the HR Coordinator is the first step in productive, engaging, and positive employee relations which include appropriate response and execution times to daily queries.

Functions include accurate policy and procedure articulation and research, HR payroll administration (in support of Accounting Payroll) and processing, assisting department heads in the recruitment of hourly positions including electronic posting and coordination including the daily follow up with department heads on open positions, and executing the onboarding process including completion of onboarding documents and orientation.

THe HR Coordinator must maintain an administrative schedule including payroll processing, benefits administration, files administration, and the, speciically, the following:

Maintain all logs (new hire, termination, transfers! , department meetings, turnover reports) daily by period and p! repare reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Answer incoming calls and distribute within the Human Resources Office

Meet and greet associates to the Human Resources Office.

Coordinate drug test, criminal background check and references for all potential new hires.

Prepare correspondence and memos as needed but specifically for candidate who did not pass background/drug testing, verifications of employment, and payroll research associated with the Department of Labor, courts, etc.

Benefits administration including group health insurance, vacation, sick, leave of absence, jury duty pay, 401K.

Complete appropriate paperwork for new hires, terms, payroll action forms and changes daily in order to keep payroll files in proper order.

Assist in the production of the Associate Newsletter.

Maintain associate files

Assist with the Associate Awards & Recognition Programs and with Associate Employee Rel! ation Events.

Keep communication boards current to include notices of events, pictures from employee events, etc.

Assist in the preparation of time badges, name tags, etc.

Demonstrated Yes I Can! people oriented listening and communication skills

Demonstrated organizational skills

Demonstrated critical thinking and processing skills

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Powerpoint

Ability to work in a fast paced environment where multi-tasking is a necessity

Associates or Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related filed or equivalent education. Experience preferred.

Minimum two years hotel or human resources related work experience.

Must be hospitality oriented, and possess the ability to work under pressure. Should possess the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

Able to work weekends as required

Ability ! to maintain high level of confidentiality and work with sensitive data ! and associate information

Sitting for extended period of time

No heavy lifting expected, exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally may be required
